GatorGuard® GatorGuard® is an asphalt coating surface treatment for alligator or divot scarred pavement.
ADVANTAGES: May
be applied at above freezing and on most damp or dry surfaces. USES: Designed
as a permanent, protective top coating for playgrounds, parking lots,
industrial floors, driveways, surface streets and highways. TYPES: FIRM: For heavy use especially in parking lots where wheels are making tight turns--torsion stress and where ide cracks are visible. NOTE: Effective May 1, 2004 the FLEX version will not be available until further notice. FLEX: For use where traffic is straight rolling as well as providing long term waterproofing. APPLICATION: Apply only onto clean, dry surfaces where all contaminates have been removed, i.e., build up crankcase drippings, oil spots, loose traffic paint, dirt. Areas having a build up of grease or loose paint shall be scraped, wire brushed and then torch prepared to completely eliminate the contaminate from the underlying surface. These areas can be pretreated with PetroGuard® GatorGuard® is supplied in a thick yet pourable consistency. This ensures anti-settling properties. PRIOR TO APPLICATION, STIR WITH A DOWEL OR MIX BLADE. Do not dilute so that cure time, shrinkage and sufficient coverage are not affected. A soft (gum rubber) squeegee application, broom, screed or roller is recommended to adequately install material. Application will vary due to amount of cracking and porosity but should be 6-9 gallons per 100 square feet. The coating should extend a minimum of 4 inches beyond all cracks to assure adequate coverage. GatorGuard® is dependent upon curing so do not apply when snow, rain or heavy dew is expected within 24 hours. Apply this product during daylight hours at temperatures above 60 F and rising. Immediately clean tools, including hoses, with cool water after application. GatorGuard® may crosslink if left standing in sun exposed spray hoses.
Keep
out of reach of children. GatorGuard® is available in one (1) gallon and 5 gallon pails. |
