CreteGuard®
CreteGuard®
is a protective sealer for aged concrete. It restores the surface and provides
waterproof protection. It is packaged in one (1) gallon and five (5) gallon
pails. CreteGuard® is available in many colors and patterns; its shelf
life is six (6) months.

ADVANTAGES:
May
be applied on most aged concrete
No special tools required.
Sand or other aggregate can be added to provide a slip resistant surface.
Can be applied to surfaces with mild deposits of oil/grease.
Little to no odor—great for indoor applications.
Dries tough and launders well. May be cleaned with mild soap and hose rinse.
Good curing at modest temperatures; usually allows same day use in less than
10 hours.
Non hazardous in cured form; may be disposed as cured residue into any
municipal land fill.
USES:
A
permanent protective top coating for concrete and asphalt surfaces such as
playgrounds, sidewalks, parking lots, industrial warehouse floors, driveways,
streets and highways.
Coating improves the appearance of aged surfaces.
APPLICATION:
Apply
only onto clean, dry surfaces where all contaminates have been removed.
Remove crankcase drippings, oil spots, loose traffic paint, grease with a
scraper, wire brush and then torch; may use PetroGuard® to prime area as
well. To restore divots, depressions or slightly off grade areas, mix
undiluted SteelGuard® with 20 mesh sand to a thick paste consistency and
place into the low areas and trowel smooth. Once cured, CreteGuard® may
be applied.
Prior
to application, stir to mix. Do not dilute, CreteGuard® is designed to be
used directly from the container. CreteGuard® will handle like water
based paint in application. It is best when two coats are used to ensure
hiding of the underlying surface. Apply with a roller or squeegee or spray
applied with heavy duty commercial equipment.
It
is recommended to only apply at a spread rate of 1/8 gallon per square yard
during daylight hours at temperatures above 50 F and rising with no snow,
rain or heavy dew in the forecast for at least 24 hours.
Immediately
clean tools, including hoses, with cool water after application,
CreteGuard® may crosslink if left standing in sun exposed spray hoses.
STORAGE AND HANDLING:
Keep
out of reach of children.
Do not allow to freeze prior to application.
Do not mix with other products.
Avoid prolonged skin contact
Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use.
Do not take internally. Do not induce vomiting if swallowed—call a
physician immediately.
